Using blackboard collaborate for this lesson was easy and practical to use. It has features such as sharing the screen which makes teaching and presenting slides a lot easier. Teaching online is a different experience, as you cannot see the faces of the students you are teaching and this may can create challenges when teaching. I liked that blackboard collaborate was easy to use and that the group I was with was interactive and responded during the lesson, this made the lesson easier. I disliked that you cannot see the in person reactions of students faces when teaching online, as sometimes a learners face will be able to tell you whether they understand what is being taught or not.

Through this micro-teaching experience, I learnt a different way of teaching. This way of teaching relies on the teacher being able to explain everything that needs to be learnt during the lesson with little to no demonstrations that can take place. The teacher also needs to be engaging and interacting with the learners to make sure they are listening and learning something in the online lesson.

If I had to reteach this lesson, I would spend more time explaining the conversions and adding more visual and practical examples for the learners. I think this might help the learners gain a better understanding of the concept as a whole and may help the lesson go better and have a better outcome. Using different resources such as a visual money aid may help with the understanding of the lesson as a whole.

In this lesson, I used Canva to create a presentation with the work which was presented to the learners. This presentation was useful as it was colourful and easy to use. The slides also allowed for animations which made presenting the work more fun and caught the attention of learners in the classroom. For the conclusion of my lesson, I used the took Kahoot. I felt as if this was a good tool to use in the classroom as it gets the learners excited and tests their knowledge on the content that was taught in the lesson.

Micro-teaching has been a new and helpful experience. If there ever came a time in my teaching career where I would need to teach online, I would feel more prepared for the lesson. Having experience teaching online is something that is helpful nowadays as so much is revolved around technology and the internet. I am glad that we got the opportunity to teach online in this activity.

I think you took on the challenge and you tried your best. The lesson you chose is challenging to teach as it needs to be interactive especially with foundation phase. I loved how you found a new way of teaching it is always fun to find new things that you know the learners will enjoy. Good Job Nikita you tried your best and it was a very engaging lesson which i enjoyed. I`think it is evident in your reflection that you know how to teach it better now which is amazing.

I think you reflection is so insightful and purposeful. I have admiration for how you took on a tough topic to teach and did it so boldly and confidently. I really enjoyed the lesson. Thank you for allowing me to be your "student" and for making me want to be so engaging. Well done Nikita you did so good!😊
